Open mic poetry series hosted by Jennifer Maloney. This month features Reilly Hirst and Erika de Jesus-Rodriguez. The event takes place at Nox Cocktail Lounge

Reilly Hirst is a poet, philosopher, activist--and a member of Just Poets! She , has been published in Bitch Goddess, The Advocate, HIV+ Magazine, ImageOutWrite, and in our forthcoming edition of Le Mot Juste, for which she also served as associate editor. She reads widely around Rochester, and is the Food Columnist for The Empty Closet.

Erika de Jesus-Rodriguez is a Latina performer, writer, dancer, model/photographer, radio personality and actress (mostly alone in her own room, but sometimes on an actual stage). Erika is co-creator of the bilingual poetry group "Lingual," and considers Eduardo Galeano, Frida Kahlo and Carlos Estrada her personal heroes (and, jokingly, her grandparents).

Reilly and Erika are two strong, impressive voices--come listen! And bring a poem to share for the open mic!
