Just Poets will honor the life and work of Mary Oliver. We will begin with a panel discussion: moderator, Bob McDonough; panelists, Kitty Jospé, Maril Nowak, and Colleen Powderly. Then we’ll have a read around, with each member present reading one favorite poem by Oliver. Afterwards, if time permits, we can have a general discussion. JP members who do not have any of Mary Oliver’s work in their personal library should be able to find some in public libraries or online. Bob McDonough promises to bring one or two collections to pass around.

After the main program we’ll have our usual workshop: 3:00 to 4:00 Bring 10 copies of a poem you are working on for our group workshops that run after the program (from 3:00 to 4:00 pm).
