This month’s featured Just Poet is Scott W. Williams.
University of Buffalo Mathematics Professor Emeritus Dr. Scott W. Williams is a poet and author of short stories. His poems have appeared in Sunday Review, Coffeehouse Writings From the Web, Juniper, Peach Mag and Ground & Sky. In 2018 his poems were in Scryptic Magazine, Le Mot Juste and Punch Drunk Press. The most recent of his six books are Haiku & Senryu Bonvibre Haiku (CWP Press-2017), poetry I Am Many Am I? (Amazon-2017) and a book of micro-fiction Natural Shrinkage (Destitute Press-2018). Scott edits the syfy poetry&flash-fiction anthology series, A Flash of Dark (Writers Den-2018) and A Flash of Dark vol 2 (Writers Den-2018). Williams hosts workshops of the poetic forms Ghazal, Haiku and Senryu and co-hosts the series Second Stage Writers (Buffalo, NY) and Poets Soup (Canandaigua, NY). He has also been a sculptor, blacksmith and most recently a painter.
Don't forget to bring some poems of your own to share during the open mic portion of the event. Usually readers are allowed 1-3 poems, for a total of three minutes.
