This Month, Just Poet Eric Rounds will guide our conversation. Eric says: some poems talk to each other. They might share different takes on a theme, an image, or the use of a form. Reading those poems is like listening in on a conversation being conducted between poets over time.
We can join those poets in that conversation by writing our own takes.
We will listen in on a few of these poetic conversations and use them as writing prompts, spending some writing time to begin drafting our own poems.
Poets we will consider include Frost, Yeats, Shakespeare, Dickinson, Cummings, and Dylan Thomas, among others.
So come and join the conversation.
As usual, bring 8 copies of a poem you are working on for our group workshops that run after the program (from 3:00 to 4:00 pm).
We'll meet in the COP Conference Room, on the second floor of the Campus Center.
