Elizabeth Johnston's work tends to focus on representations of women in literature, myth, and popular culture. A poet, short fiction writer, playwright, and essayist, her most recent publications appear in The Atlantic, Feminist Formations, The Boiler, and Veils, Halos, and Shackles: International Poetry on the Oppression and Empowerment of Women. Elizabeth is a founding member of the award-winning writer's circle, Straw Mat Writers, and teaches at both MCC and the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.
