Eric Rounds will make a presentation on writing poems that are a "Mission Statement"

Eric will show examples from a few poets—Homer, Frost, Williams, perhaps others—as well as a couple of his own attempts at “Mission Statement” poems. We’ll look at the models, discuss why these poems might have value for poets and readers, and then have time to start writing our own.

Workshop: 3:00 to 4:00 As usual, bring 8 copies of a poem you are working on for our group workshops that run after the program (from 3:00 to 4:00 pm).

We'll meet in the COP Conference Room, on the second floor of the Campus Center.
